Project: Doritos "Crash the Super Bowl"

Client: Frito Lay
Date: November 2006
In an attempt to get a spec animation aired during the Super Bowl, I created this original :30 animated piece. I was inspired by their repeated warnings that "this commericlal must be EXACTLY thirty seconds in length," and all the problems this time constraint can cause. Sadly, no animated pieces made it to the finals. Oh yeah, and this is the first animation I've ever created from my own voice.

Project: Susan Whitfield's video blog

Client: internal Development
Date: August 2006
Desctiption: Some nine years ago, my wife created a character named Susan Whitfield. The character appeared on MADtv several times, however I felt it never truly got it's due, so I decided to animate her. And what better subject for a dorky 15 year-old character to comment on than the YouTube phenomenon "Lonelygirl15".

Project: Jack Palance (Real Audio)

(WARNING: BAD LANGUAGE! NSFW)

Client: Internal Development
Date: August 2006
Desctiption: Have I mentioned how much I LOVE animating real celebrity audio? Well, I do, and this may be one of the best. Jack gets pissed at a woman director who's giving him too many notes, and just goes off on her. I added the "Peanuts-esuqe" woman's voice later. It wasn't two months after I finished this that Mr. Palance passed away. I can only dream that he saw it before he went.

Project: Entertainment Weekly Pilot

Client: VH-1 (Producer: Doug Wilson)
Date: July 2004
Desctiption: EW features a "Stupid Questions" interview on the last page of each magazine. These interviews are recorded by the interviewer (Dan Snierson) to ensure accuracy. This is REAL AUDIO of an interview with Henry "The Fonz" Winkler. (Note: Personally, I love animating to REAL AUDIO... no matter how good the performace, you can't duplicate the effect of someone speaking off the cuff.)

Project: Casey Kasem "Dead Dog Dedication"

Client: None
Date: February 2003

Description: My 1st attempt at full, lip-synch animation. Always a fan of "South Park", I "borrowed" their style and animated this REAL AUDIO piece. Yes that's really Casey Kasem... REALLY pissed off. I added the director voice and bumper in to the show complete with the last few notes of Loverboy's "Workin' for the Weekend".

Project: Forrest Hills & Professor Wordsmith

Client: Pilot Presntation for A.S.S. (Animated Sketch Show)
Date: June 2003
Desctiption: I teamed up with James Arnold Taylor to create these two sketches. James had previously written and voiced these pieces for the radio. However, they were too good not to animate. Seriously, I know very few "geniuses" in this business, and he's one of them. He does ALL THE VOICES you'll hear in these segments.

Project: Little J.T. (Christmas Promos)

Client: Fox Broadcasting
Date: December 2003
Desctiption: James and I had a meeting at Fox in November 2004, and also met with their promo department. In a matter of minutes, we agreed on creating five pieces for their Christmas "Laugh out Loud Sunday" lineup. Upon delivery, we immediatley for a pick-up for 12 more. These aired (one per night) as a night open and announced their line-up. These promos also won a Promax Silver Award (category BN-33) in 2004. Not bad for two guys using their home studios.
